Faro is the capital city of the Algarve and it is also a landing point in Portugal and a city full of history, great shops, restaurants, cafes, theatres, galleries and great beaches. The central area is really quite compact and you can walk everywhere. 'Cidade Velha' is the oldest part of Faro and it is situated on the eastern side of the city. You should visit the Faro Cathedral which may not look very grand from the outside, but inside there are intricate gilded carvings, decorated tiles (azulejos) and works of art which are well worth seeing.

If you don't mind a bit of a climb, walk up the steps of the tower and get a magical view of Faro. It's a great opportunity to see the typical Portuguese pyramid shaped roofs of the Episcopal Palace which is still the official residence of the Bishop of Faro.

Benefits of the Internships

Type of Internships
We organise curricular internships as law requires students to be enrolled in a post-secondary institution in order to be able to do a placement. Curricular internships are as a part of your studies where the internship is worth ECTS credits, often as a part of the Erasmus plus program.
Eligibility
For European citizens it is really easy to do an internship in Portugal. To do a curricular internship all you need is a training agreement from your university. A training agreement is a document which outlines all the details of your internship which proves that the internship is as a part of your studies. It must be signed by your university, the receiving company and by you, the intern.
